What is PXITE?
PXITE (pronounced 'pics site') is an online club for photographers (digital or film camera, doesn't matter) who are interested in presenting their photos. Beside the weekly contests, PXITE offers a profiling system in a few different aspects. We invite you to register to PXITE as the service is completely free and it offers a variety of opportunities for you to further share and develop your photographic skills.
This site is intended as a hub to help photographers (film or digital) get more exposure of their photographic work and/or photoblog. It will also provide and keep track of weekly contests. The multi-dimentional design of the site will let visitors access the resources through different paths. Consequently, there should be plenty of chance for you to experiment with, and enjoy, friendly photo challenges and lots of benefits to be gained from greater exposure of your art work.
Do I need to subscribe to PXITE?
You do not need to subscribe to PXITE for visiting submissions and photoblogs, not even for voting. But you need to be a member if you want to submit a photo, receive newsletters, or benefit PXITE's extra features. These features currently include member profiling and ranking, and member photoblogs. Other features are planned and will be added in the future. So, subscribe right now as it is all FREE!

What are the submission guidelines?
PXITE reserves the right to delete any submission if it does not conform to any of these guidelines.
1. All photos that you submit must have been taken by YOU. Please don't send in photos taken by someone else, including news services. This is a copyright infringement.
2. Contest topics are carefully selected so please try to stay on-topic. While the topics are open to interpretation, please try to stay within a reasonable scope.
3. Do not submit images that may be considered inappropriate or offensive. In most cases this includes nudity and porn. However, if you are in doubt about any submission, please e-mail me before posting it.
4. Do not submit "extremely-processed" photos. You are permitted to re-size, sharpen, or slightly process your photos in order to enhance them. However, please do not submit heavily processed photos that no longer resemble the original and that cannot be called a photo anymore.
5. Do not use text on your photo. It's not a poster contest. However, some members use a small signature on one of the corners. That text is ok.
6. Each photo may be submitted for only one contest - no repeat submissions, please.
7. Submit the URL where the photo is located. If you are addressing to a page with multiple photos please use an anchor so the intended photo is viewed in the center of the screen. If the link goes to a main page that does not appear to contain the photo related to the Contest the link will be deleted. This is to avoid potential visitor frustration in having to search for your photo submission.
8. You are allowed to sumit only one photo per week.
Thank you, in advance, for playing by the rules!
How does voting system work?
Votes are limited to one vote per submission per visitor. This means you can vote for any submission - including yours - as many times as you wish, but only one will be counted for each submission.
Does PXITE host contest submissions?
No. PXITE does not provide space for the photos; instead, it keeps all the URLs in its database and each link forwards you to the related site. Consequently, whatever happens after clicking on submission URLs, including low download speed or offensive content is the responsibility of the related site. We do our best to avoid dead links but considering the number of submissions it is not guaranteed.
Can I change my username or any of the submissions?
You can change your name, photoblog name, photoblog URL but not your username or any of your contest submissions. It is PXITE's policy to keep these two attributes unique as they are scored and ranked and any change in these two will contradict the design. There is only one exception and that's when your latest contest submission has a specific problem. In this case you can contact us to delete the current submission for you so you can upload a new link. This exception is valid only during the submission period and not when contest is open for vote.
Where can I get PXITE link buttons?
